⚠️ Things to consider before applying for a visitor visa

• Genuine intent — visa officers look for a genuine, temporary purpose. Don't hide a study/work motive behind a tourist visa; it leads to lifetime bans.
• Strong ties to India — property, business, dependent family, ongoing job or education. These reassure the officer you'll return.
• Financial capacity — funds should match your ITR profile. A ₹15 lakh balance with ₹1.5 lakh ITR looks suspicious ("funds mismatch") and is a common refusal ground.
• Seasoned money — avoid last-minute deposits. Funds must be 3–6 months seasoned; sudden credits need a source explanation.
• Travel history — prior Schengen / SE Asia / Dubai stamps hugely boost approval odds for first-time UK/US/Canada applicants.
• Complete & consistent documents — names, DOB, addresses must match across passport, ITR, bank, Aadhaar. Small mismatches = refusal.
• Travel insurance — mandatory for Schengen (€30,000 cover); strongly recommended for USA, Canada, UK, Australia.
• Purpose evidence — hotel bookings, day-wise itinerary, event invitation, family invitation letter with sponsor's ID.
• Avoid over-editing — do not photoshop bank balance, salary slips or ITR. Embassies verify with Income Tax dept. & banks — this is the #1 refusal & blacklist reason.
• Refusal history — declare all previous refusals honestly (any country). Hiding = automatic rejection.
• Sponsor documents — if someone else funds your trip, add their ITR, bank statements, sponsor affidavit + relationship proof.
• Book the interview at the right time — apply 60–90 days before travel; too close feels rushed, too early looks vague.
